She felt tainted, marked, branded for life, held up for everyone to look down on and frown at. She peered closer into the hand-held mirror, anxiously wishing it away. Sigh, it was STILL there and shall be forever or so it seemed. She did hate this unsightly pimple when she was well past her teens.
