18th of April

The eighteenth of April-

A special day for my tendril

Of a love, delicate as he is.

It’s the day he sprang forth

To take his tiny place and prove his worth

In this web of a world,

And on every eighteenth

Of April, I thank my stars

For this tendril of support

They’ve bestowed on me,

Without whom,

Well, let’s not

Think of that, please,

For the eighteenth of April is forever there,

Isn’t it?

p.s: happy birthday, N 🙂

@ineffablemrjones: 🙂 that’s a very kind ‘like’; personally feel the poem is ordinary though the person whom it’s meant for isn’t 🙂

Tendril is my favorite word. You have used it so delicately to speak of your love.
