a rainy day

a wet, wet day,

the kind that drags and droops,

sniveling till it catches cold

and settles down

to moon the audience.

A bawdy shaker

that waters down time

into limpets that stick

in unseemly smudges

on crumpled skin,

mon-soon comes

just too soon

and forever without dignity,

pudgy, podgy plops.

    Love these lines
    “into limpets that stick
    in unseemly smudges
    on crumpled skin,”

it WAS that kind of a day 🙂

    My WORD, this is beautiful:
    “A bawdy shaker

    that waters down time

    into limpets that stick

    in unseemly smudges

    on crumpled skin”

    Goodness.
