the length of silk

a warm afternoon:

a whiff of silk

yards upon yards

a heap on the marble

cool against the heels

as ebony and magenta

mingled, blended,

fingered

into folds

form draped

drape formed.

    Ohhhhh. This is so beautiful:

    “fingered

    into folds

    form draped

    drape formed.”

I can see this, so vividly. Wonderful.
