The oil-blackened mud

Lamp, light in dust

Streams

Through that overgrown hedge.

Tripping down the stairs

Landing with a thud!

The book-case, creaky,

Crowded with me

Through the ages.

The green of the water

Tanked, cool and high

Too high I did think

Some time back.

Home these for me

Till I’m back.

Wait, please.

Another piece of brilliant imagery : The book case creaky, crowded with me, through the ages. Very beautifully drawn.
