shelving and unpacking

i came across you

trussed

among other wrinkly memories

closeted in the back

alley, 2796 days old

or older

if i acknowledge wide-eyed interest

that spoke for itself

and collected frame after frame

ย of you

that now lie under

thin films of dust

choking the frog

rising to my throat.
