lying awake

a wait?

await?

a weight?

de-sire,

hyphenated and full

of possibilities.

the period of wait:

pregnant –

a time for pause

that can turn life

on its head

dirt and grass

dirt and grass

and bring forth new

lies and life.

Glad you like it, Susie. Thank you 🙂 Sad how new life may not always be welcome and may even be dreaded, isn’t it? Nature giving convention the slip as an unwed mother-may-be waits it out, plans her lies just in case…

  2. Mary says:

But there is always promise in new life, however it came about! That is what I believe anyway.

  3. De Jackson says:

Ohhhhh. You KNOW I love this. All that gorgeous wordplay in there. Fantastic.
