was it smoke or was it lemon? was it yellow or a crisp brown hollow? fruit of impatience left to go fallow, it gave a whiff of smoky citrus- a nippy odour, a dour protest.

the length of silk

a warm afternoon: a whiff of silk yards upon yards a heap on the marble cool against the heels as ebony and magenta mingled, blended, fingered into folds form draped drape formed.
